Shredcatz in Prince Albert, SK | Propaganda

The anticipation, the frigid temperatures, and the first-ever ShredCatz take over ride day in the Prairies.
Shredcatz collaborated with Propaganda Shop to host a Girls Ride Day event here at Shred the Red in Prince Albert, SK.
This magical place brought female boarders alike—mothers, daughters, and friends of all ages (5 to 42) with an amazing turnout of over 30 women! This event created an atmosphere for progression, empowerment and friendship. It was an absolute dream day, filled with incredible people in a welcoming environment.

ShredCatz is a “female-driven grassroots community, operating out of Vancouver as a registered not-for-profit society in BC.” This riding day allowed the female community to come together and connect in Central Saskatchewan to explore, learn new skills, share ideas, and most importantly, snowboard in this wonderful place.
This beautiful day was blessed with sunshine, and despite the cold temperatures that caused chilly toes and frosted hair strands, the riders were seemingly unfazed by the -30 weather. Smiles appeared on all faces from the hot laps on the freshly built terrain park. There were different features for riders to appreciate and expand their abilities. Overall, this created a positive space of confidence and excitement.

This day would not have happened without our great volunteers, riders, park crew and sponsors. Especially: Beatrice, Ali, and Claudia, from Shredcatz, who went out of their way to be here from Vancouver and Banff alongside Adam from Propaganda Shop, who has been building and supporting the Prairie snowboard scene for over 20 years.

Every rider received a loaded goody bag and took home a prize from the amazing sponsors. This event could not have happened without @shredcatz @propagandashop @shredthered @airblaster @herschelsupply @capitasupercorp @unionbindingco @coalheadwear @volcomsnow @lushcosmetics. Their support means a lot to the community. Biggest thank you to everyone who came out to shred and brought the high vibes in these low temperatures!
