WORLD SKI & SNOWBOARD FESTIVAL PARTNERS WITH CANADA SNOWBOARD BRINGING THE GRIND TO WHISTLER
Whistler, BC – February 18, 2025 – The World Ski and Snowboard Festival (WSSF) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with The Grind, a premier street-style competition to Whistler this April. As the grand finale of its cross-Canada tour, The Grind will transform the base of Whistler Blackcomb into a high-energy showcase of world-class talent from Thursday, April 10 to Saturday, April 12, 2025. The Grind Series is run by Shred The North events arm of Canada Snowboard. A true testament to progression and elite competition, The Grind boasts an equally distributed $50,000 prize pool across both genders and inclusive of skiers and snowboarders—reinforcing WSSF and Canada Snowboard’s commitment to equity in sport.
Beyond the main event, April 10 will feature a Wild Card Qualifier, where one skier and one snowboarder will have the chance to secure a coveted spot in the finals. Fans can expect jaw-dropping tricks, intense battles for podium positions, and an electric atmosphere as some of the most progressive riders from around the world throw down in Whistler. The event will also be broadcast live, ensuring fans at home don’t miss a moment of the action—but nothing beats experiencing it in person.
