"It just felt right. This board isn’t too aggressive and it isn’t too playful—it's right in the middle. It can do it all." —Aari
Burton Counterbalance Snowboard Basics
The Counterbalance is Burton’s new non-gendered, quiver-killing option for riders who want one board that handles everything. It’s quick, snappy, and powerful, while still keeping things approachable thanks to its mid-flex camber profile. Available in a wide size range and with two unique graphics, this board is built to reach a broad audience without sacrificing precision.
A Directional Shape with a slightly longer nose delivers extra float and control across all conditions, while Directional Camber locks in edge hold and stability through deep turns. The Super Fly II™ 700G Core uses stronger and lighter woods to balance pop and weight, and The Channel® mounting system gives riders more stance control while staying compatible with all major binding brands.

Burton Counterbalance Snowboard Test Notes
"When I first stepped on this snowboard, it was super easy to ride right away. Straight out of the box, it just felt right. This board isn’t too aggressive and it isn’t too playful—it’s right in the middle. Stiff enough and soft enough. Perfect for everyone. It had super quick, tight turns when I wanted, but I could stretch them out easily too. In the park, it had tons of pop and felt locked in on rails. The camber profile gave me a super solid edge hold and really responsive turn-to-turn riding. I rode it all over the mountain and felt like it could do everything—pow, park, groomers. Beginners to experts will find something to love here. This is the kind of board you can keep as your everyday driver, no matter where you ride." —Aari
