Burton Step On Genesis & Escapade EST Binding Test Notes

"The first thing you immediately notice with the EST system is that it's a very smooth riding, binding, and comfortable on your feet. Having less material underneath your foot allows the binding to flex. And they're putting a lot of foam in there. So, it really dampens out any chatter. And at the end of the day, you will notice less foot fatigue. It excels in the park. If you want a medium flex park binding for hitting rails and jumping. And you can ride it carving around, in trees and on groomers. It gets the job done. Things I like about this binding, it's very lightweight. You do notice that right away, especially if you're coming from strap binding. Another thing I like is the EST: lots of board feel, good flex, and it is very comfortable to ride all day, especially in those chattery conditions. And then I love that hammock high back. It really smooths out the ride and dampens any chatter or vibrations you're getting in the rough snow conditions, making it comfortable while still being responsive. If you're looking for the latest and greatest from Burton Step On, the Genesis EST binding can't be beat. It's got everything you need. I'm super happy with how it rode; really comfortable and highly recommended." —Jon
