PUBLIC General Snowboard Basics

The 2026 Public General Public is a versatile all-mountain freestyle snowboard built for riders of all shapes, sizes, and skill levels. With an extensive size run from 143–160 cm, there’s an option for everyone.

At the heart of the board is the Alert Hybrid Camber profile—traditional camber between the feet with subtle rocker at the tip and tail. This design delivers a forgiving feel on rails, extra pop for getting airborne, and a balanced ride that shines on groomers, side-hits, the park, and everything in between.

The 100% FSC-certified poplar core provides the perfect strength-to-weight ratio, while urethane sidewalls—standard on all PUBLIC boards—offer superior impact absorption and damping compared to traditional ABS or P-tex.

Biax fiberglass ensures smooth, consistent flex from tip to tail, keeping the ride nimble and predictable. Meanwhile, the sintered base is built for speed and durability, with excellent wax retention and enhanced resistance to abrasion when properly maintained.

PUBLIC General Snowboard Test Notes

"I felt super comfortable on it and it just moved really naturally. I noticed how soft the board was, but in saying that it locked onto rails really well and felt very stable underfoot. It locked into turns, diving in, and didn't wash out and didn't feel chattery. It's a mid-soft flexing board, but that doesn't mean you can't charge on it. It has really good pop on side hits and off lips. This board excels in the park and still rides well on groomers because it locks into turns so well.
My favourite things about the board are the graphics, the shape, and the flex. The flex is super comfortable. This board would be great for anybody, whether beginner or intermediate. It is really friendly to start riding on. Even if you are more of an intermediate rider, you can take it anywhere, whether it's the park or on some steeper terrain."—Riz
