Jones Frontier 2.0 Snowboard Review 2026 | What's Good?

Jones Frontier Snowboard Review Video

"Once I got on it, everything felt natural. There was no second guessing—I just kind of knew what it was going to give me." —Aari

Jones Frontier Snowboard Basics

The redesigned Jones Frontier gets a fresh shape that makes it more versatile than ever. With a softer mid flex and a tapered directional camber, the Frontier is set up to be an easy-to-ride, do-everything board straight out of the box. It’s stable when you want to charge, playful when you want to tweak, and built to take the hits season after season.

The Directional Camber/Rocker profile keeps camber through the body of the board for responsive, powerful turns while a rockered nose boosts float and manoeuvrability in deeper snow. Add a dual-layer multi-directional fiberglass laminate for a lively-but-forgiving feel, plant-based bio resin to cut weight and environmental impact, recycled ABS sidewalls for durability, recycled German steel edges for longevity, and a top-tier Sintered 8000 base for speed and wax retention — and you’ve got a board that can really do it all.

Jones Frontier Tech Basics

  • Core / Weight Lightweight, poppy core construction (engineered for snap and reduced weight).
  • Resin Plant-based Bio Resin — bonded for performance with lower environmental impact.
  • Sidewalls Recycled ABS with round finish — increases impact resistance, reduces chipping.
  • Edges Recycled German steel — durable, long-lasting edge construction.
  • Base Sintered 8000 — high-quality sintered base; fast, wax-absorbent, and easy to repair.
  • Terrain All-mountain / Freeride — excels on groomers, in the trees, and in variable snow; solid in occasional park use too.

Who is the Jones Frontier Snowboard Best Suited For?

The Frontier is aimed at the all-mountain ripper who wants one board that covers everything: resort laps, powder runs in the trees, and the occasional park or mini-pipe session. Its forgiving flex and edge hold make it excellent for riders who want confidence on groomers and float in deeper snow without giving up playfulness.

Jones Frontier Snowboard Test Notes

"My first impressions of this board—super rad graphic all around. I really love the shape of it, especially the tip and tail. Once I got on it, everything felt natural. There was no second guessing—I just kind of knew what it was going to give me. It’s a mid-flex board, not too aggressive. I found it really easy to get on edge, with a lot of edge hold. It was super responsive while still feeling nimble and playful. With camber underfoot and a rocker nose, it really excels in powder and freeride terrain. I rode it up in the alpine, in the trees, in slush, and even in the park and mini pipe. It felt very versatile and handled everything I threw at it. It would definitely make a great quiver-killer resort board—do-everything, ride-everywhere."  —Aari
