K2 Hypnotist Snowboard 2025 Video Review

"It kind of does it all. Even though it is a freestyle-focused snowboard, it still excels outside of the park because of its stiffness, lightness, and poppiness."—Aari

K2 Hypnotist Snowboard Basics

The Hypnotist’s twin camber profile makes the board under your feet lively and poppy helping you track straight into jumps and pop ollies over fences. The BAP Core features Bamboo. Aspen. Paulownia. These renewable woods are strong, lightweight, and designed to enhance damping without the addition of other materials. SpaceGlass™ in the Tip and Tail provides increased edge hold along contact points, reduce chatter, and provide unequaled durability all at a reduced weight. Carbon Darkweb stringers extend at 45º angles from the inserts in an “X” pattern, adding responsiveness and stability at all speeds, while the pre-cambered Carbon Backbone inlay centred between the inserts adds snap and pop to every ollie and takeoff.

Who is the K2 Hypnotist Snowboard Best Suited For?

The K2 Hypnotist Snowboard is best suited for advanced to expert snowboarders who are looking for a premium freestyle board that can handle transitions, hips, and medium to large terrain park features. It's perfect for confident and aggressive riders who enjoy trying out new features and carving up runs, as well as those who want the versatility of an all-mountain board that still packs a punch. Basically, if you're a skilled park rider who likes to shred hard and experiment with new tricks, the K2 Hypnotist is an excellent choice.

K2 Hypnotist Snowboard Test Notes

"It's an awesome graphic, a true twin with nice flick in the tail and the nose, it just adds to how the snowboard looks and how it rides. When I first stepped on the board, it was really light and nimble. It's a little bit narrower than I'm usually riding, but even though it just felt really stable, I felt locked in, I felt in control. It also felt quite playful with the camber. It felt insanely poppy and had tons of snap—especially because it does feel quite a bit lighter. Even though it is a freestyle-focused snowboard, it still excels outside of the park because of its stiffness, lightness, and poppiness. It worked well on side hits and in trees. It kind of does it all. This board caters to the more intermediate-advanced rider, maybe someone looking to push their skills inside the train park while still doing a little bit of all-mountain. My three favorite characteristics of this snowboard are its stability at speeds, poppiness, and edge hold. If you're looking for a fun freestyle snowboard that allows you to push your skills in the terrain park and a little bit all over the mountain, this is the board for you." Aari
