PUBLIC Statement Snowboard Review Video

"Your park board that will destroy the whole mountain."—Jon

PUBLIC Statement Snowboard Basics

The Statement has a softer torsional flex and slightly longer blend zone at the contact points, making it quick and easy from edge to edge. The slightly wider waist width offers stability and prevents toe and heel drag when carving hard and ripping through the park, and with camber underfoot and flat out to the contact points, you get a balance of playfulness and stability for jumps, rails and everything between.
Carbon stringers increase pop and liveliness while enhancing the strength of the board and Biax fiberglass creates a consistent and smooth flexing snowboard tip to tail while allowing the board to stay nimble and predictable. The Urethane sidewalls offer superior damping properties and are more durable against impact on rocks or rails to prevent your board from delaminating. The Poplar Light Wood Core uses 100% FCS certified wood and features strategically placed super lightweight paulownia wood throughout the core to reduce weight but maintain a snappy feel. Strips of hardwood are placed underneath the bindings to reduce board breaks at the binding line and increase insert retention. The sintered base offers maximum wax absorption and more abrasion-resistant making the board faster and more durable.

This board is camber with a little bit of flat at the contact point. This gives the board the pop of a full camber board but with a broken in feel that isn't catchy.

PUBLIC Statement Snowboard Test Notes

"Overall, this board is really fun. It is like your park board that will destroy the whole mountain. I was riding pow on it, and it floats pretty well. I think this board is going to be great for places where maybe you ride a lot of park, but you want to ride some other terrain as well. It will handle it all. It's soft but not too soft. It has carbon in the nose and tail, so it's responsive. It's really poppy, which definitely helps outside of the park. It makes it good for side-hits and good at high speeds. It's not going to chatter, but then you can still hop into the park and have a lot of fun. This board in the park is amazing. It presses nicely. It pops out really nicely as well because of that carbon, and because it is more camber, it locks into rails really well. If you're looking to hit medium jumps and start hitting large jumps, you could do that, but it's like that perfect park rat board."—Jon
