"You can just rail carves on it and it's awesome."—Jon Martin

Ride Moderator Snowboard Basics

The Moderator is an all-new, unisex, softer, more accessible version of the popular Deep Fake board. Built for progressing freeriders who don't need quite as much power for everyday riding, it features a directional all mountain shape with Ride's Tapered Linear Quadratic Sidecut which provides smooth catch-free turn initiation and powerful support through the turn exit without losing grip.
The Performance Light™ Core features high strength Aspen combined with Bamboo and Paulownia wood to provide for the perfect balance of strength and lightweight.
Carbon Array 3™ is power distribution technology that provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.
Pre-Cured fiberglass optimizes glass to resin ratios to create an extremely consistent flex pattern.
Single Impact Plates added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most.
Slim Walls® are a 3D composite structure positioned over Slimewall® material to reduce weight and dampen the ride, which results in excellent energy transfer.

Ride Moderator Test Notes

"This thing is a stiffer board, that's fun. My first riding impression of the board was that it was actually easier to ride than I expected it to be because of how aggressive it was. It's really, really quick edge to edge. It's really poppy. It's very stable at high speeds. What I like about this board is the narrow waist width, which makes it easy to ride, but it's also very stable. You can control it, but you can also send on it and be confident that it will handle whatever you do. But this thing is a stiffer board. That's fun. My three favourite characteristics of this board are first, its shape. That is one of the most important things just for me. I want a board to have that bluntness, so that's always what catches my eye. Number two would be how well it carves with that narrow waist width. It is fun, edge to edge. It's easy to ride. You can just rail carves on it and it's awesome. Third would be how solid it feels under my feet; I can pop and stomp. I can confidently ride all over the mountain, and it feels solid. It's kind of for someone intermediate but who also wants to progress to be more of a charger."—Jon Martin
