Salomon Assassin Snowboard Test Notes
"I can do whatever I want to on this snowboard, and I know exactly how it's going to react. The first thing that stood out for me was how well this board holds an edge. It rides like it's directional, but it's not; the forgiving torsional flex helps you move around quickly and anywhere you want to. When taking this board in the park, I love how it locks into the rails and on the kickers, I love the snap you get out of the tail. The camber through the middle between the feet gives you a nice true pop and sends you exactly where you need to go. I rode this board all over the mountain. I rode it in powder, and it was as floaty as hell, making smooth turns super easily. I rode it in chopped-up, icy hard-pack conditions, and it really bites through the snow when it's like that. I rode it on the groomers, and iit's super snappy, super responsive and really stable. This board is what I recommend as your daily driver. It's like a Swiss army knife of snowboards. It's going to do everything for you. So, if you want to ride all over the mountain and want something that's going to be fun, poppy, and reactive but also really stable and reliable—this is the board for you." —John
