Salomon Jetstream Snowboard Review Video

"Perfect for a freeride carver—someone who wants to ride powder, and rip open-face groomers."—Aari

Salomon Jetstream Snowboard Basics

The Salomon Jetstream is built for riders who demand precision, power, and adaptability in all conditions. Its progressive flex and refined radial sidecut deliver quick transitions and confidence, whether you’re carving groomers or navigating sketchy terrain.

Sustainability is a core feature: a 50% recycled base, 100% recycled ABS sidewalls, 30% bio-based resins, 20% recycled edges, an olive wood veneer, and an FSC-certified wood core.

A tapered directional shape paired with Rock Out Camber offers the ideal balance of float in deep snow and precise edge control, making every carve feel effortless.

The Aspen SLCT full-length FSC-certified wood core ensures consistent flex, reliable snap, and long-lasting durability, while Ghost Carbon Beams Plus stringers add pop and edge control without extra weight.

Finally, the Popster core profile is milled thinner underfoot and thicker outside the bindings, enhancing natural flex and energy return for a lively, responsive ride.

Salomon Jetstream Snowboard Test Notes

"First impressions of the board: I love the shape. It’s a little wider, has a nice tail, and the graphic is really cool. This is a carving/freeride-shaped snowboard. With the long, drawn-out nose and scoopy kick tail, it would be great in powder, and the tapered shape really helps as well. On groomers back to the lift, going in and out of turns, I felt it was really manoeuvrable and responsive—thanks to both the flex profile and the taper.

I rode this board on alpine groomers, freeriding in the slush, and hitting side hits. I’m 5'8", 150 pounds, and I ride an 8.5 boot. I tested the 157 and found it was the perfect size for me as a slightly more aggressive rider. If you’re looking to get a bit more playful, I think you should size down.

My three favourite characteristics about this board: it held an edge super well, it was very responsive and easy to get on edge, and it still had a lot of play in the nose. I’d say this board is perfect for a freeride carver—someone who wants to get up on the mountain, ride powder, and also rip open-face groomers." —Aari
