Burton Mystery Series | Martock, Nova Scotia

Ski Martock's rich history goes back to 1969 with a group of locals who saw potential for skiing in the area. Pulling up, you'd never know what inspired those pioneers to cut runs and put lifts up on the very rural slope 45 Minutes north of Halifax, Nova Scotia. But despite Martock's limited vertical and terrain, it has thick snowboard culture and has raised a handful of Olympic snowboarders, including the multitalented icon Trevor Andrew.

Burton's Mystery Series targets unlikely places. Showing up where others don't. Martock hadn't seen a demo in over a decade. So, the banked slalom and pristine park brought out the snowboard community in numbers. 150+ riders of all ages and abilities raced and got rad while meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. Mystery Series brought together generations of snowboarders, sharing laps, tricks, and stories about how this little hill carved out the province's realest boarders and culture in the Maritimes.
Shout out to Burton, Pro Skates, and Red Bull for making the only Canadian stop of the 2024 series one to remember.
