BURTON QUALIFIERS @ HORSESHOE RESORT

Fresh snow seems to follow the Burton Qualifiers tour just about everywhere it goes, and Ontario’s Horseshoe Resort for stop #5 was no exception. The region’s top up-and-coming riders (and even some international talent from south of the border) we’re all in the mix for one of the biggest turnouts yet on the tour. Throw down a $20,000 prize purse and all the ingredients were there for a heavy session.

Horseshoe’s Outlaw Terrain Park crew may not have a lot of vertical to work with, but they more than make up for it with creativity and shovel power. Local rippers were claiming the Qualifiers course was the best setup the mountain’s ever seen, complete with kinks, single barrel steel, and more than enough transition to get tech. In the end, the top three in both the Open and 15 & Under divisions brought home a paycheck, while the top six in each division got an invite to the tour finals going down March 24th at Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.
