Following the recent bankruptcy of Camp of Champions, the  Whistler Valley Snowboard Club is stepping up to keep the summer stoke alive. Proper coaching and a park built by Whistler Blackcomb will run for 2 weeks starting July 3rd. A great option for those who were planning on attending Camp of Champions and need that summer shred fix.

Whistler Blackcomb and the Whistler Valley Snowboard Club to Run Summer Glacier Camp in July

Looking to fill the snowboard void left on the Horstman Glacier this summer, Whistler Blackcomb and the Whistler Valley Snowboard Club will offer a snowboard camp this July. The camp will offer two sessions for snowboarders nine years of age and older, with the first session running from July 3 – 7, and second session taking place from July 10 – 14. A minimum of 25 participants will be needed in each session in order for it to operate. Coaching will be provided by the nationally certified coaches from the Whistler Valley Snowboard Club, led by Whistler Valley Snowboard Club head coach Joe McAdoo. Campers will have access to a private terrain park built by the Whistler Parks team accessed via the Hosrtman Tbar. The terrain park will feature one large jump, two medium jumps, followed by a four pack of medium and large sized rails. Participants will upload from the Valley with coaches at 8:00am each morning, downloading at 2:30pm.

Pricing will be $610 plus tax per session for Whistler Valley Snowboard Club members, and $785 plus tax for non-members, which will include daily lift access and lunch. Bookings can be made by calling Whistler Blackcomb reservations at 1-800-766-0449, starting Monday June 19.
