THE BLUE PROJECT | RECAP + GALLERY

Can you believe there have been 25 years of Snowboy Production events? Sounds crazy, eh? I was only one year old when Krush first started shaping snow into art that made you want to ride from dawn till dusk. And lucky for us Canadians, the border patrol was kind enough to let the man back into the cold Ontario winter after a lockdown that felt like an eternity. For four days, Blue Mountain and Snowboy hosted The Blue Project, attended by jibbers from all over the country. With an uncertain snow level two weeks before the event, a blizzard hit town the day before everyone arrived and left 30cms of fresh in the area. Welcome to Canada, Snowboy! Rumours were the local skiers were pretty mad about not being invited. And the riders made sure they got high-quality views from the Orchard chair.
The concept of the project was simple. Boarders ride as well as they can, while the media documented as much as possible. Here’s a glimpse of what happened. – [o] Joseph Roby
