THE REVIVAL | MIKEY LEBLANC

It has been a different premier season to say the least. I for one, have been recharged with all the new releases that have persevered and found new and creative avenues to premiere, like online, and at drive-in theatres. The thought of riding chairlifts soon never felt so sweet. It's reminding me how I felt years ago; full of stoke and love for snowboarding. It's fitting that Kingpin is resurrecting their classic films. The same films I watched every morning. Thanks to Whitey for reaching out and adding to our early season stoke. Check out a little preview with Mikey Leblanc's full part from the 1999 release of The Revival with a song called "Swann Street" by the band Three. Added in this post are a few timeless images also shot by Whitey. After all that, head over to Kingpinproductions.tv to watch the full movie.

Kingpin Productions was started by Whitey McConnaughy and from 1992 to 2004 they made 17 seminal snowboard films, including Destroyer, The Revival, Brainstorm and Back in Black. Kingpin launched the snowboard careers of many including; Stevie Alters, Scotty Wittlake, Mikey Leblanc, Gigi Ruf, J2, Nate Bozung, Kurt Wastell, Chad Otterstrom, Ali Goulet, DCP, Mark Frank Montoya, JP Walker, Andrew Crawford to name but a few.
Since we're essentially, digitally resurrecting these old Kingpin videos from their analog graves, I figured the most fitting video to start with would be our 1999 film, The Revival.
I spent weeks color correcting every shot in The Revival so it would look as good as possible for it's digital release
The video is available to purchase for streaming and digital download at www.kingpinproductions.tv
